Vegetable Gardening in Small Spaces
Many people who live in apartments whose only access to outdoor space is the fire escape (which can only be used for escaping fires) struggle with their desire to grow their own gardens so they can have access to fresh, organic, and healthy produce that they grew themselves. However, they are left disappointed and believe that it is simply not possible to garden without yard space.
However, the truth is that gardening can – and is – done indoors! In fact, many vegetables can easily be grown in wine boxes or any crate. Portable and container gardens are becoming increasingly more popular, including the one planted by Linsey Hasenbank from Houston. She uses wine boxes to create a unique garden that anyone can grow no matter where they are living.
